I'm Brian A. Maloney and I approve this message.
Read part 1 here, but part 2 is only going to be a couple links.
Why?
Because the Tigers picked up the $13 million option on a washed up catcher in Pudge Rodriguez.
Plus, the newspaper article I am referencing re-hash most of the same stuff I would have minus my glaring critique of one Brandon Inge in addition to Pudge.
The Tigers actually do have a lot of issues to address in the offseason for a team that has done so well in the last couple of years. It should be interesting and (hopefully) kind of fun.
So here you go.

easy on Pudge. Sure his bat isn't the best in the majors, but catchers aren't known for their batting. Players still don't want to steal with him behind the plate.
Perhaps he is overpaid. I'll give you that much.
Is pitching the biggest problem?
COuld be.
What happened to Bonderman?
5 years and still no 3rd pitch?
Suppose Kenny comes back.
We have 1-3 locked down then (Verlander, Kenny, Bondo). Probably Nate is back for sure so we need a 5th.
But what if Kenny doesn't come back or he is still hurt?
We also need a LF, a SS (or 1b if we get no SS and Guillen stays at SS). A left hand stick from either LF, SS, or 1B.
A closer (Jones may or may not be back). And some bullpen help.
AND WE NEED A BETTER 3B!!!!
